Designed specifically for touch screen, Dispelled aims to provide a skill-based challenge where both the accuracy and speed of the spells you cast increase your effectiveness.
Conceived before in-app purchases or adverts became commonplace, Dispelled provides full functionality for a one-time purchase price, 6 spells to learn, 8 levels of increasing difficulty (or is that 9?), 7 enemy types, 2 boss fights and 8 magic items which drop at random.
Proper 2D physics interactions means your mage bolts bounce off targets, enemies are knocked back, blown by wind and block each other.
Unique mechanics provide depth of gameplay as you learn to use spells more effectively and random drops keep each run feeling different.
Goop is my second game, currently still in development, but due for release 2023. It is a completely original design which incorporates a single player puzzle increasing in difficulty and local on online multiplayer for friendly (or competitive!) challenges.
Incorporating Google integration for achievements, leader boards and cloud saves, Goop aims to provide the next level of services for Digital Witchcraft. Goop will be free with in app adverts logically placed not to interrupt gameplay or flow.
Along with plenty other concepts, many ideas had to be dropped from Dispelled as resources (i.e. time) simply weren’t enough to allow for implementation.
Dispelled 2 will aim to be the game I’d always hoped for, with larger levels, more enemies, more spells, more items, a shop, character selection, character progression and customisation, and rendered in glorious 3D. The culmination of which will provide gameplay mechanism depth unparalleled in modern RPGs.
